Pros and Cons

The pros of this in dash car radio is firstly the resolution which at 800 x 400 is one of the best resolutions for this type of radio. With a color of 24-bit it is enough to please you when choosing different radio stations or even playing your favorite soundtracks. As a plus, the color and display are easily customized. Since this pioneer in dash radio support android music, we found no problem with it recognizing our android devices (phone and tablet) and can even use it as phone storage for music. The In dash radio also support USB cables meaning you can keep your hard disk full of your favorite music around and just plug it for entertainment. Lastly, the in dash radio also support Bluetooth microphone which is great if you want to listen to music through them wirelessly.

As a matter of fact, we didn’t come across any huge inconvenience so that we could consider it as a con.

Pioneer AVH-X390BS Double Din Bluetooth In-Dash


Another one of pioneer’s products, which will not be the last in this review.

 

Pros and Cons

The pioneer in dash receiver or radio looks very good in the black color and will fit right in the middle of your deck perfectly. Light and easy to fit, it is one of the most convenient one. In addition to providing entertainment through radio, there is also a CD player within it and once you pop your CD in, it will display the name by title, artist or even album. The latter support all MP3 audio formats. With the mix track feature, you are sure to be entertained as your songs or playlist will be mixed together DJ-style. An additional feature that is also interesting is that there is a time alignment that will optimize the music depending on the time you are sitting in the vehicle. At 50 watts and 4 channels, it doesn’t consume lots of battery power either making it one of the best of its kinds.

The cons that we found were that some features doesn’t work as described but overall it is a good product.

Pioneer DEH-S4000BT Single Din Bluetooth In-Dash CD/Am/FM 


Another one of pioneer’s products and probably the last for this review.

 

Pros and Cons

This pioneer in dash car radio is one of the latest available in terms on compatibility with smartphones and iPhone. The latter is compatible up to iPhone 6+ as well as the iOS 8 software. In addition to that, the built-in Bluetooth technology allows for hands-free talking as well as audio streaming making it very convenient if back seat passenger want to share a song or sound. The face plate is also detachable so as to stop thieves in their track if they want to steal it. Like its predecessors, with a power output of 50 watts and 4 channels, it doesn’t use that much power for the entertainment it provides, making it one of the best in its pioneer line.

As a matter of fact, there was no big inconvenience we came across to be considered as a con.

BOSS Audio BV9370B Double Din, Touchscreen 


Along with Pioneer, Boss audio is one of the most recognizable brands in terms of in dash radio.

 

Pros and Cons

The pros of this in dash radio is that it is one of the latest and is compatible with most hardware. With the integrated Bluetooth, it is possible to take hands free call as well as audio stream through smartphones. Music can also be played wirelessly thanks to the latter. Since it follows the latest trends, this in dash radio support USB, MP3, SD card, WMA as well as the regular AM/FM radios. Channels are also automatically saved and can be saved as favorite if needed. With a resolution of 800 x 400, it matches the other of its kind as well as having sounds balancer and equalizers to provide an entertainment trip. As an added feature, it has a built-in subwoofer control.

The con that we found was that the inbuilt-clock isn’t really consistent as well as the touch screen doesn’t always function as intended. Brightness also have to be adjusted from time to time as it is not automatic.
